Description
IDI-EB 01 is a demulsifier formulated for efficient separation of water-crude emulsions in production systems. It promotes coalescence of dispersed water droplets and accelerates gravity separation in two- and three-phase separators and dehydration vessels. It is designed for conventional crude production systems where the aqueous phase represents less than 60-70% of the total fluid.
Problem it solves
Formación de emulsiones estables agua-en-crudo en pozos y líneas de producción que dificultan la separación de fases en las baterías. Las emulsiones no tratadas incrementan el porcentaje de agua en el crudo exportado (BSW) y afectan la calidad del producto final.
Mechanism of Action
Reduce la tensión interfacial entre la fase acuosa y la fase oleica, desestabiliza la película de emulsificantes naturales que rodea las gotas de agua y promueve la coalescencia y sedimentación gravitacional de la fase acuosa.

Usage Conditions
Injection into the production line upstream of the separation battery. Optimal dose depends on crude type, operating temperature and water content. Bottle test is recommended for dose determination.
